I've heard the best running / workout socks are suppose to be wool. I've tried a pair, and I was impressed how well they worked. Didn't really sweat under intense workout. That being said, the price on these socks are great. I would be curious if anyone has any experience. Thanks!

Smartwool! They are the best in my experience. Most wool is irritating to my skin but smartwool socks are the best.

Personally, I find 100% polyester extremely uncomfortable. I need I high cotton content in my socks or they will "bother" me. Smartwool are so itchy, I can get hives just looking at them. Darn Tough aren't as bad as Smartwool, but I can't wear them either. If you don't have sensitive skin, it might work for you.

I am forever in love with the Nike L/R specific socks that they had around 2010. They still hold up great after all these year. They weren't all 100% polyester.

But these.... 100% polyester..... yikes

Why does every company have a 90%+ polyester sock now? They itch and feel horrible ( job is 10-15k steps daily)I've been trying to score some cotton/blend at Ross/Burlington but literally every single company like Tommy/Calvin/Penn/Head/Champion/Ralph Lauren/etc are all polyester. They usually have some cotton versions but I haven't seen any in months.. perhaps even a year.There are some wool socks though. I usually buy 6 pair of Under Armor cotton 2.0 for $10 but I haven't seen those in over a year. Even at department stores that cost a few dollars more, they have less cotton alternatives if any.

Interesting that the original post links the grey 6 pack for $13...when the majority of other colors in the same size are much cheaper (e.g. black basic 6 pack for 8.15). Some 6 pack colors are <$9. Some 18 pair packs are $17 (e.g grey basic 18 pairs)...and you can even subscribe and save to make it even cheaper lol.
