Bought these earbuds about an year ago. They have been close to this prize before ($148 with $20 gift card) and the ebay certified refurbished deals (with 2 yr warranty) are much cheaper (usually $65).

As for the value, these are very good for music (with stock EQ, Wavelet EQ, custom EQ) and noise cancellation. I often use them for music only. With some EQ, these are probably my go-to for music listening. They are a great value for that.

That said, these are bad for calls. They are not IPX rated, so you should not use them for gym. The stock tips are slippery and you might have to get third party tips to get better fit. If you do not mind refurbished earbuds, go for the ebay deals.

Do you have a recommendation on good third-party tips?

I have only tried about 3 or 4.

AZLA SednaEarfit XELASTEC are good. They are made out of TPE and they are a little sticky. They mold to the shape of your ears with heat and help keep XM3s very stable. But, they get dirty and I did not like them for prolonged usage.

AZLA SednaEarfitLight Short are also good. The sound is almost the same as the former if not marginally better. They have a small bore so they are stable for the most part. They do loosen up a little at times (more if you are exercising), but they are ok for my needs. These are the tips I use.

I have also heard that Spin Fit CP360s and other versions are also good. But I have not tried them.

I have had these for about two years or so now. It has been my daily driver and the right side is basically dead so I looked for a replacement. These were fantastic when released but as of right now the technology is way behind many others. I decided to go for the newly released Soundcore liberty 3 pro for $150 which many have raved about
