I didn't know the prior deal from a few days ago had expired. From that deal, my order came Saturday. If the router had been used, I couldn't tell. It was in very good shape with the antennas still in a sealed bag. For those wanting to convert it to a standard ASUS package, it is a fairly long 30 step process. I must have done something wrong the first time as I had to repeat it, but in the end everything works as expected.

Aren't these the personal cellspots that Tmobile gives to customers for free if you complain about no signal in your house?

/tmp/home/root# chmod u+x mtd-write
/tmp/home/root# ./mtd-write new_cfe.bin boot


Segmentation fault


Am I accessing the wrong directory?

I have converted several AC1900's in the past but not on Windows 11.

Try a different version of Putty. I did my hacking on a Win11 machine with no problem. A seg fault is a memory access error of the program, very doubtful from accessing the router.

Many required a $25 deposit; if one cancels T-Mobile, they'll want the device back or charge you MSRP, however it's been a mixed bag.

Also, they don't offer it anymore.

Realistically what is the highest bandwidth I can expect with this on a single device in my house assuming good direct signal?

Bought 10. Lots of people looking for cheap mesh installs. Going to flash them to ac68u https://www.bayareatechpros.com/ac1900-to-ac68u/. Thanks for the heads up, almost out of AX3000s.

Edit: these run full gigabit speed just like the most brand new routers when wired. Not sure about wifi. You can run Merlin LTS on them and Diversion/Skynet for malware and ad blocking. Or Advanced Tomato. Or DD-Wrt.
