It is a bit of a downside but for anyone who isn't as familiar with hardware and just want to game: I have the same cpu and gpu in a slightly different system which I use to play at 1440p. At 1440p you're pretty well off, because it lowers how many frames the gpu can put out anyway, so a weaker processor is actually less of a problem since you're still gpu bottlenecked. There is one single game this gpu/cpu setup left me where I wasn't gpu bottlenecked so a beefier processor could have helped, and that was New World. And even then it's only in towns but it's still perfectly fine. Anyone who has played New World knows that any cpu kinda struggles when you hit a crowded town. This cpu is extremely solid for gaming, especially when you consider that to find a pre built with a better processor you are actually looking at adding about 300 dollars to the build, which is already the price of an i7. And that's a bad value. So I'd say this is the way to go. You might point to the 11400f in a similar deal, but the 11th gen of processors offers hardly any performance benefit over the same model. You'd need 10600k, or 11600k, or i7 to actually see benefits.

I'd love to hear more thoughts on comparisons to the recent Dell XPS 8940 11400 deal.

They are really pretty even (not in performance, just in how good of a deal they are). Because to me I wouldn't use the XPS without an ssd and another 8gb which drive the cost up a bit. After that and the 10% off in this case, they match pretty closely with a straight up 3060 vs 3060 ti cost (like a 100 dollar difference). So at that point you just basically decide if you want to spend another 100 for the ti just like a regular graphics card buyer would. But, if you are more frugal than I am, and can put up with a hard drive and 8gb (most games are absolutely fine on this) and are leaving them stock, I'd go with the xps.

This good enough for mining crypto?
Yes, but it may take you around 12 months to make your money back with the GPU. It is not worth it to mine with this CPU as it only makes a few cents (about 3) per day.

It doesn't say whether the GPU is LHR or not, how can I find out?

Not a bad deal but I'll say CyberpowerPC has had better 3060 ti deals in the past two weeks, so might be worth holding out if not immediately needed and keeping an eye on them.

I got an 11600kf, 3060 ti, a 1tb NVME ssd, a better Coolermaster case, a liquid cooled 240mm CPU cooler, a 750 watt gold PSU, and if I'd gotten 16 gb ram it would have been almost the exact same price (would have worked out to $1297). Shipped in about a week.

You find that deal on SlickDeals or somewhere else? In the market and keeping a close eye out. Didn't see that deal.
