Just saying, for $1.49 more you can get the North American version on Amazon with Prime and access to the DLC.

No reason to buy a German version from ebay resellers when the NA version will be available for this price (or lower) during Black Friday and throughout the holiday season.

My 8-year old is about halfway through and is doing fine, and I also beat it without much difficulty. It was a good game, glad I played it.

Yes, the combat is "different", but I thought it was alright. I'd recommend watching videos on YouTube of people playing the game to see if it's something you'd like.

I personally couldn't get into the spinning of circles during combat and gave up. Perhaps I just find it an odd way to battle but never finished.

This is my kids favorite Switch game of the ~20 or so we own. The criticisms are coming from people with specific expectations imho.

I think perhaps you are referencing this version on Amazon for $34.99, which is in English, but is the UK release (which may suffer from the same DLC restrictions as the German one): https://smile.amazon.com/Paper-Ma...B08MHGTHC2

When I mention the difficulty I actually mean that reviewers state that its too easy. And yea, Ive seen the combat. I personally just would have liked a little bit more depth to it.
