I can never find how to edit categories I like /dislike

was that a feature that was removed? I spent hours searching the site, faq, help, etc. I can't find anything on it. nor can I find any way to edit these on my android slickdeals app. like I don't want any apple phone deals sent, so I'm hoping my any fire deal would remove matches that include Apple.
I get so many notifications, and have spent hours tweaking notifications,it is the more generic freebies of things that are Uber popular that i would like to manage.
Thanks in advance, and if it is easy, I don't know how add a 30 year IT expert I can't find it. maybe they have a special name, but it was due powerful idea, why is it not an option to get to it from profile? wouldn't that make sense?

in the android app you can access them via the bell on the bottom right (to the right of the "forums" link). some tips on writing better deal alerts can be found here
edit: i should add that you're right that there was once a way to customize fp in the app, but the option is no longer available. you still can on the desktop site, however. on desktop, below the featured deals row there should be a button that says preferences (in classic) or personalize frontpage (in redesign). there you can set categories or stores to "dislike", save your preferences, and it won't show front page deals for those items.
