Costco T-Mobile generally gives back tradein value back in visa/master gift card after a month or two. So it is easy for people who want pay upfront rather than waiting for credits over 2 years.

We have 2 leases s20s that are now month to month. Could we give those back, buy 2 pixel 3 off ebay and trade them in for the $300 credit per line? I tried asking tmobile but they were no help. I'm also debating waiting for a 256gb version.

As a new customer to tmobile, I buy this phone with a qualified trade-in, select a plan (minimum $40) and be active for 24 months? Sorry for my newbie question.. I'm just trying to find out how long I would have to remain on their costly plan to avail this rebate/deal.

Curious on this and not looking for an argument. I have an old iPhone 6 sitting in a drawer. Getting $300 trade in for it and getting Pixel 6 for $300 + tax and keeping it as a back up to my current phone seems like the move? I mainly use an iPhone but have a Samsung on my second/fun line so this would replace that.

Anyone have thoughts on this?
I'd be looking to the about the same with my pixel 2 xl so I'm curious if you have to keep the pixel on the line for the entire time or if you can swap them around

This promo does work for business accounts as well.
You just have to call Business CSR for it.

$450 for my Pixel 4a 5G - better than the $285 from Google.
The phone on swappa and ebay is around $300.

Questions?
Do T-mobile Pixel phones have the annoying T-Mobile bootup screen?
The phone itself is unlocked or is it locked the the carrier?

Hoping for a pure Android experience.

I hear this from a lot of people. It just confuses me.

You have two choices

1) You can pay a few hundred dollars more for the phone at MSRP with free Pixel Buds.
2) You can pay the MSRP and get $450 ($900 for Magenta Max) in credits over 2 years.

Option 2 is a lot cheaper.

To get Option #2, do the deal with the installment plan. Then pay off the plan, in full, as soon as it shows in your account. Just sign in, pay it off, done.

You still get the monthly credits as long as you stay with T-Mobile. If you stick around 2 years, you get the full $450. If you don't, you get less. If you stay with T-Mobile long enough to get more credits than the cost of the free Pixel Buds (assuming you wanted them) you're ahead. If you don't want the Pixel Buds (I don't) then your ahead the first month you get them.

I "Don't Do Contracts" and "I don't borrow money." are both ways of saying, "I can't do basic math and I don't understand how deals work." It's not a smart look. Just buy the phone and pay it off in full after the monthly account credits kick in.

It's good if you are already on TMobile and plan on staying. Option 2 is only cheaper if the TMobile plan you switch to isn't so much more expensive than your current plan that it wipes out the $450 value. The cheapest TMobile plan is $35 more per month than I currently pay (unless this deal works with Connect plans, anyone know?). So switching to TMobile to get $450 off the Pixel 6 would result in $840 higher overall phone plan cost over two years, for me personally. So $150 (Pixel 6 phone cost after credits) + $840 (higher cost of plan over two years) = $990. So something as simple as just staying with my current plan and buying the phone at $600 MSRP is way cheaper over two years, without even taking into account selling my old phone or a different trade-in deal (that doesn't require a different plan).

I have a Pixel 3a and I'm on the Magenta Military plan with 4 lines.
I'm also eligible for Magenta Max 55+ but I think Military is cheaper.
I wouldn't count on Costco as I also haven't seen a Pixel deal there in years.
This is tempting but I'm going to resist and hold out for a similar deal for Magenta Military members.

How did you get a $899 credit on Magenta Amplified plan?
I just traded in my older pixel and it stated I qualify for $899 credits.

Yep, Google fi's promotions suck for their own phones. I got a $400 service credit to get a Samsung, but to get a pixel all can get a free pixel buds which I don't want. I may have to switch
Yeah, I hear ya. I left Fi a few months ago, saving money with a T-Mobile Connect Prepaid plan.

I placed order and traded in S9 for $450. Now I get an email that it is a $30 trade in instead? Anyone else seeing this?
That's what they always show before they actually get your phone. Assuming it's in the condition you indicated, you will receive the $450 credit once they have the phone and verify the condition.

I'd be dumb not to trade in my pixel 3a for a $600 credit, I paid around $300 for it a couple years ago I think.
