Costco T-Mobile generally gives back tradein value back in visa/master gift card after a month or two. So it is easy for people who want pay upfront rather than waiting for credits over 2 years.

Common issue. A lot of the YouTube reviewers experience the same thing

Super frustrating experience with the Pixel 6 so far. Phone arrived. very excitng. Transferred apps etc over from the old phone using the supplied cable. all goes well. no sim included. now transfer the old t-mobile sim from the previous phone - it is not happy -- I am told that you need to unlock the phone to try this sim . try esim. ok. tried -- goes through and tells me to call tmobile at an 800 number. tried - asks for my phone number. provided. thank you it says - checking your account. then provide your phone number - this is an endless loop and I make no headway. try 611. same result. Try twitter tmobile help. In the past this has been quick and efficient. this time I get a response after an hour. provide the eid of the phone. ok figure out and provide. no response for another 30 minutes. the tforce person now says he will help authorize and sends an otp. respond to that. wait another 30 minutes and so on. NEt result after 5 hours give up and go to sleep. THis morning, repeat the exercise and no change. Now my sim doesnt work with the old phone other.
you must have done something wrong. This is a T-Mobile pixel 6. It will take T-Mobile sim (your old sim). You dont need to unlock it in order to use on T-Mobile.

It's older technology. It's going to be slower than capacitive and ultrasonic

This is exactly why I'm disappointed they don't have facial unlock. On screen reader is annoying.

Mine doesn't have a sim. That's a pitta, now I gotta go to the TMobile store tomorrow to get the sim for $10😑
Are you a new customer? If not, use the sim you had in other phone before you got Pixel 6.

they re-provisioned the old sim. I did a power off and restarted with the sim in there. It still says the sim is not compatible and i need to unlock the device but the calls and sms messages are now working. ALl I can think of is that I copied over all the files, apps and settings from the old phone which originally came from AT&T but was unlocked and hence working on Tmobile - possibly one of the settings that was copied over is creating the problem -- making it look like it has something to do with AT&T

each time I get new device, I start from fresh. re-install apps from play store. not from backup. This will avoid any conflicts.

Yes because this community care about what they purchase and appreciate being kept informed. Again, not against any Px purchase, just saying that when i buy a product like a Pixel From GOOGLE, i expect more than a fly-by on fleabay -especially when it comes to care about Existing as much as New customers -not the other way around - ask P3 users and good luck!

I think you should move on and give Pixel 6 a shot.

if not, we understand.. but not many people care about 3 story at this point. Not everyone had the issues and Google has fixed the issues in next 2 generations and multiple iterations already.

if you hear about 6 issues, then yes, it would be relevant. Thanks for your inputs.

No, been with them for 10 years. I've moved to e-sim tried to reactivate the old r15 sim, the system won't let me, I also called them to have them reactivate with no luck. They said I need a new one, so now I have to make a run to the store

Register the same print twice helps a lot.

You can increase screen responsiveness by Settings > Display > Improve Touch Sensitivity
You can also shorten the long key press time to 150-180ms. This helps finger print reader but also messes up typing

Has anyone that preordered the Pixel 6 Pro on October 21st had their order shipped? I think someone mentioned that they ordered on October 20th and had their shipped yesterday.
