Costco T-Mobile generally gives back tradein value back in visa/master gift card after a month or two. So it is easy for people who want pay upfront rather than waiting for credits over 2 years.

The buds aren't part of this deal. It's part of the google deal on their site, not T-Mobile.

Keep in mind that the company T-mobile uses to process the trade-ins can be hit or miss. Out of the last 3 trade in / upgrades i've done 2 have been mishandled by them and it is a major headache to get it straightened out.

The last upgrade they screwed up, despite having tracking to prove they received it has taken me month after month to get corrected, i'm NEVER going to do trade-in unless its at the store it's just not worth the frustration if they make a mistake you would think they would want to take care of long term customers.
Good news is the stores will start taking trade-ins starting Nov 10

easy, I handed them the phone, they handed me a new one and they swapped sims and I walked out. we spent more time bullshitting about the phone and them entering my info in their database than anything

Sounds like you upgraded (ordered) in store? Think people are trying to still do it online (avoid the upgrade fee) but turn in their trade ins in store.

Some of what you posted is not clear: You had an eligible trade in from the initial list to get $300/$450/$900 in credits and you gave that to the Tmobile Instore and they gave you a Pixel/Pixel Pro?

You you they gave you paperwork for the respective credit?

I called my local store and the lady had no idea what I was talking about and said you have to mail; lol but another lady in the background was yelling saying they haven't started that yet so I asked to ask the other lady when that is and she yelled back saying sometimes in 2nd week of November lol.

What do you guys think about this idea? I have a oneplus 6t. If I trade it in, I can get $300, and get the pixel 6 pro. Then trade in the pixel 6 pro for an s22 ultra (assuming they give $800) for it. Only reason I'm thinking of doing this is because I don't think I'll get $300 for the 6t when the s22 comes out.
I think it's a bad idea unless you're in a sales tax free state. Pixel 6 Pro will run you an extra $110 in tax and fees already

I asked the guy at the counter if they were doing the $450 trade in. He said yes, I gave him my Pixel 4XL and he handed me a pixel 6.

they gave me $65 of the $450 credit as immediate cash back (which went to cover the taxes which you pay up front as well as the $30 upgrade fee in store) and the $385 leftover is applied to the account as a $16.05 a month credit for 24 months.

Immediately. Paying off EIPs never affects credits. The credits just move to the account level and you continue to receive them for 24 months. Source? I've done this numerous times so that I can SIM unlock the phones.
How immediately? I was always told to wait at least until the credit appear on a bill before paying off.. even though it's already showing on the EIP page.

I canceled my order for the Pro Model since it was out of stock and got the regular 6 instead. It will be delivered next Thursday. My thinking is to get the Pro (or another 6) in a few weeks after it's back in stock.

I'm paying $15 for the Maxup on one line.. going to order as many Max-only phone promo's as possible while I'm paying that additional fee!

when you buy new phone at store. you trade-in at store.
when you buy phone online. you mail it in.
things might change on the 10th.
