Focus is bait and switch company

There is a coupon code, I just got mine delivered and it was brand new, and for $319 + tax. You do know how to use coupon codes?

How does this compare in quality to the FLIR one and Seek Thermal cellphone compatible devices? I see the frame rate is faster, but the resolution is similar. Is the sensitivity any better?

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I watched quite a few videos before buying this. There is nothing in this price range that comes close. It was $500 but has come down. **

*It has hundreds of uses. Hunting and id you target or find your target after you shot it. You can Id heat loss areas in your home. You can hunt for animals in the woods(big-foot, bear...) You can even see footsteps or blood trails. Home security-see if someone is outside. Easily find your dog/pets at night(indoors or outdoors).

The biggest Plusses are: Works in pitch black, It has Video and photo capture, 50Hz refresh rate, rechargeable 7 hour battery, range finder to target, and Price
Here is a decent video with actual vid and photos taken with it

You should know that Bigfoot can cloak his thermal signature so you'll have limited success with this for "squatching"Smilie

FLIR cameras connect to your cellphone charging port which are not very robust connectors. I had one for a microUSB and it was constantly losing connection latency which just makes it lose image / power then reboot. if you bumped it, the image goes out, and eventually gets worse because the charging port is also the only mechanical connection holding the camera on the phone - so it messes up the charging port over time. it was unusable.

Hunting anything that gives off heat. Those Xenomorphs will not stand a chance. It can be used to see hot deals as well.

50hz is somewhat a lie, as the thermal relaxation time of the pixel elements in microbolometers isn't fast enough to actually support actual data at that rate. Yes, your frames will refresh at that rate, but the fundamental hardware of the camera itself won't.

Think of it like using a camera with a 100 ms shutter speed but outputting a new frame every 50 seconds.

In addition to thermal this has a 'coupon code' mode which should prove useful to you for future posts.
