Same EE design (majority of PCB), Same firmware, Same motors. Just different tuning of height and power output. They're all based on the entry Chinese P5 model.
S6 MAX (T7 Pro in china) is a flagship device. It's internally higher end and uses a completely different OS/CPU setup. Hardware is shared on the T7S plus (S7 with Camera) which is unreleased in western regions.
Relatively the newer S7 (T7S) is "lower end" internally, but marketed as a higher end product due to newer features. It's the upgrade from the older T7 model. (Never had a western release).
Please note: The series numbers outside of china are a crap shoot. S6 Pure has nothing to do with the older S6, S4 MAX has nothing to do with the old S4 and S5 MAX is a hybrid of the entry P5 with a dedicated water tank from T7.
My opinion? These sale prices aren't exactly sales relative to the Chinese counterparts in terms of pricing, but theres a lack of competition in western markets (hence inflated cost). The T7 PRO (S6 MAX) sells for $470 USD in china without a sale. Thats also up $20 USD from last year in regards to exchange rates.
I would just buy the S4 MAX at $299 or less (New) if you're looking for a fair price when it goes on "sale".. It's more in line with Chinese market P5 model.. which is the S6 pure with a different faceplate.
Roborock "Sale" prices on US amazon wont ever fall below Chinese market price. Chinese sales are more significant, but that will likely never happen here.
