Does anyone have experience with this model? The biggest complain I saw on amazon reviews are 1) damage which is expected on shipping a large and heavy item and 2) lack of seals which causes leaks in turn difficulty controlling the temperature. AG is using UPS shipping and I don't think the driver is going to be happy delivering this item.

I recently purchased my Classic I from Walmart. Had it for two weeks. Was deciding between the kettle at $499 and the Classic for roughly $750. Lowes and Walmart sell the Classic I. Walmart recently had it marked down to $670, so I went with the ceramic. Mainly because the warranty on the ceramic was better. The price difference wasn't as significant as it is now.
After seeing the build quality of the Ceramic... I would definitely recommend the Kettle as a starter grill. I would buy at this price if I was still shopping. I have watched enough videos to say that it can certainly be used a s smoker. It will require more of your attention during the process. The big selling point of the kettle is that it comes with the slo roller. It's a $200 add-on to the Classic I. I believe it comes with the Classic III, but the price for that grill jumps up almost $1000.
