You could just add an adapter that allows you to attach a garden hose to your faucet then use this product.

I bought this last time around. It is excellent quality although I'm still trying to get my dog used to it.

Think you can relax now. This product wasn't intend to leave dogs alone so you can go on vacation. The pet would still need to eat and use the bathroom. The idea was probably to reduce water use while still letting the dog drink water. My dog would look at this and say no thanks but my sisters dog loves drinking from the hose for some reason.

The product does have many good scenarios you can take full advantage of. Main thing is to save water while allowing pets to drink while outside. You may not be able to put bowls of water outside for some reason.
