Tried to price match with Walmart chat. Escalated to a manager. Even though walmart.com has it in stock and it says "Sold and shipped by Walmart.com" (after clicking on Compare all sellers), both reps gave some rigamarole about how that inventory was actually being held in reserve for a third-party seller and so doesn't belong to them so they cannot price match.

Popping noises and range issues are normally caused by static build up. Make sure everything you have connected is on a single circuit (ie. one power strip). If you have the TV plugged into one outlet and other devices like consoles, video players, your sound bar, etc. connected to a separate outlet, it'll make those crackly noises. You can check by unplugging the sound bar power, waiting a bit, and plugging it back in.

If that solves your problem even temporarily, then you've found the cause that's good. Otherwise you may just have a defective unit. My non-LG soundbar did the same thing until I read about the static thing 🤷

Still looks alive to me, INSANE deal. I got this at the end of Aug for $800 shipped from Newegg deal, even after tax this is almost $100 cheaper than that, and I figured that one was as low as it would ever go, used ones on eBay were selling for more. It has been a bit prickly (app not wanting to connect without having to factory reset it), also had disconnects until I changed the channel of the nearby router's wireless radios. Also, we are not allowed to use the microwave anymore (j/k). It does sound great,but as an HT guy I will confirm it doesn't sounds as good or replace a true home theater (eg receiver, 1 center, 2 fronts, 2 front wides, 2 sides/rears, 4 ceiling, 1 sub), especially for music. That said, it wasn't expected to, and it certainly was easier to setup.

I do wish it would give the option of running speaker wire vs. HAVING to go with wireless sub and rears given all of the problems I read with those having disconnect issues. This would obviously address those problems, even if being besides the point of having a speaker bar with "easy" setup... at least it would work, and is still easier than an old school 7.1.4 setup with receiver.

As well, no regerts.

y'all...help me decide! lol....Keep my Samsung q850t from Best Buy open box ($400, was just missing remote) or return and buy this...anybody jump from the q850t to this? I really want the added atmos, but I've heard this LG has had issues.

Yep, it was marked dead but was in stock and let me check out (except for the last step, I already have this, just wanted to see final price with tax) when I first saw the thread and posted 40 min ago. Now it is dead for me again.

Purchased this a few months back, wanted to love it, but it sounded hollow to me compared to Q90 that I also tried and returned. I got rid of the Q90 because I couldn't stand not having a front-facing display (my LG Oled doesn't display the volume # when connected through eARC). Q90 sounds better in my opinion, but the LG app interface was better! I really wanted to love this soundbar because so few have a front facing display.

Also just for awareness, if you want the LG soundbar connected to wifi, you have to set it up through the Google Home interface and there is no easy way to disable Google Assistant without sacrificing wifi connectivity features. A "workaround" is to keep the sound bar on mute when not using it.
