it worked great and well for the first 5 months. now it just randomly turns off. its nearly unusable. support is very difficult to get in touch with and useless when you do. you can't even find any info on this device on google.
would not recommend. too expensive to be a floor weight.

However, the big size screen is a different experience in its own. I have a LED light source based, short throw (not ultra short throw like this) 4k portable projector (viewsonic x10-4k) that I use on a 220" wall. The experience is amazing.
With UST projector like this one, one thing to keep in mind the that you have to keep the projector near the screen (so it either occupies space on a table near the screen or on ceiling above where it will be distracting ur vision.
A friend has VAVA and I wasn't too impressed with the software, too many quirks. Look into that on forums before committing.
For 2k this looks much better, imo but ymmv
It was either this or a 85" tv or the hisense projector deal from buydig.
I like the fact this has a OTA tuner included, and the 100 day risk free trial swayed me.
If l find a better deal over BF/Holidays then l'll get a Hisense 100" bundle (120" is to large for my wall)
Also like that it has a two year warranty on it vs the 1 yr on the Hisense.
I've been looking at the Chroma tri-color and some others as well, but some of these non branded projects seem to have mixed reviews and their support maybe hard to use, as well as the prices increasing.
Took screenshots of the 100 day trial being applied to it, did read some people on avforums having issues with Samsung honoring it and asking for screenshots at the time.
Tri-color would have been nice, but doesn't fit the budget.

I recommend the Hisense models with a bundled ALR screen. Slightly better picture and bundled screen for 500 more.
Anyone try the cancel for 10% more off offer trick?
I have a 65" C1 and have had OLEDs for years in the living room and thought I might wish I had an OLED in the cave but the Sony is solid.

Would appreciate your feedback/experience as I debate between finding an 85" X900H or going with something like an 85" X85J as a compromise in price since X90J (X91J for 85") is several hundred dollars more. FWIW: the X85J is also awaiting an update for VRR but pretty sure that's it. No additional "sync" modes or even ALLM.

You may want to check the number of HDMI ports that are actually 2.1 on the Sony's as well, l recently purchased the 90J and only two out of the four ports are 2.1 if l remember correctly. (And if you use the e-arc port, then really only one hdmi 2.1 port is available)
