My brother and I had it growing up and never beat it.
Same here. Loved the game's style, music, everything about it but the difficulty ruined it for me. All I can remember about playing it is being stuck in the hedge maze early on in the game.
Plenty of kids beat it back in the '90s. Hell, probably some younger than 7. Kids today just care about Fortnite and Among Us.
Meh. Personally I usually avoid free-to-play games like the plague. Among other issues I feel like the F2P format inherently compromises game design because it's generally built around the idea of withholding content or functionality and hitting you up with various microtransactions. I'd much rather pay for something up front and get an experience that is not cut down and trying to nickel-and-dime you to death.

I loved ZAMN back in the day, would play it with my older brother. It's a very memorable game. I just know I wouldn't put much time into a game like this nowadays. I suppose if you have a P2 and would dig a unique, retro co-op experience this should be a good pick up.
No idea about Ghoul Patrol. I didn't even know it existed until a couple years ago.
Bought this game in 94 from kb toys store for ten bucks. I was ten years old. Anyone who says most kids under ten can beat this game are liars. Same thing with the original TMNT for nes.

This game was though, TMNT too!
BTW, I too remember buying many games from KB toys. They were one of the only stores near me who carried unlicensed Nintendo games.

Not sure why it was only ten bucks. I don't think it came out that long before that. I remember phalanx being ten dollars too. Google the cover. An old man playing a banjo lol. Kb had some good clearance deals on toys, I was sad when it closed in my mall twenty years ago.

However, 10/10 - my favorite SNES game growing up. Awesome gameplay, great music, would play again.
