I picked up one of these for a similar price. I'm very happy with it in my kitchen.

Not sure it's worth it at this point due to fuschia update that has caused many devices to have lots of issues. Loved ours until the update, however.

Zero available near Austin. Picked one up from Lowes and one from Verizon this month. Decent for table side on the patio and near the sofa but the screen is too small for kitchen use. Prefer the jbl link views I have from previous refurb deals. Good luck hunting.

I have the first generation of these. Since the fuschia update there has been no issue with mine.

I got mine 3 years ago for $62 (back then it was called a Google Home Hub, but I think it is the same thing?). I have it next to my bed -- use it as an always on clock (dims at night with lights off). Good for finding out the weather in the morning and turning off my lights with "Hey Google".

Oh my god! All my GE bulbs in my house just stopped working too. So Frustrating. I took them all off my google home updated all their firmware individually with the stupid GE Cync App. Full reset all of them. Put them all back on Google Home... they stop working within a few days.

I have 7 GE bulbs and occasionally had connection issues the first couple months. After turning the light on and off to reconnect it would work fine. For the past 6 months bulbs work fine without issues.

It's crazy how people used to have light switches. I mean when was that 1950s?

Unrelated side note. My studio is too large, so I'm moving into a goshiwon.

I have 5 and all have updated to fuschia. No problems with mine. Home IoT control, music, photos, curious questions by a 6yr old, clock, etc all work.
Have larger Lenovo in kitchen, waiting for another or 2 Max deal for other side of kitchen. Also to stereo pair since can only do that with like models.

Haven't been to Home Depot in a while- will these typically be on an electronics aisle or dedicated clearance aisle?

Depends on the store. Some will be on clearance end caps, Google end cap, some in the smart home section, or even in the locked cabinets up front.
