Not sure if this is nationwide or not, but my Costco just started selling Kirkland brand grass-fed butter for $9.99.

A friend of mine tell me that because this brand has the highest fat content, it's perfect for making THC butter, if you're in a legal state, that is.

What is the quantity of the Kirkland Signature grass fed butter? I'm in NJ as well.
It's a decent quality, but it doesn't have that fermented "tang" that Kerrygold has. I cook with the Kirkland butter and use the Kerrygold for eating.

The non grass fed butter 4lb is usually 8.5$ right. So paying 1$ extra for grass fed is worth it imho.

I've never seen the Kerrygold unsalted version at my local Costco. Frown
I did purchase unsalted in the past but never saw them anymore since this year.

is it something special about this butter? How is it different from the butter that Costco sells like 3 packs (salted or unsalted) all the time?
This has 2% higher fat content than the grocery store brand butter. That little extra fat provides more flavor and richness. You can tell the difference in baking/cooking when butter is one of the main ingredients or eating it on bread or toast.

It also has a unique "fermented" flavor that other butters don't have.

Recall from what we all learned in elementary school: butter is made from milk that comes from cows, and those cows eat grass to live.
You clearly did not get the joke. 😄

NorCal locations have both salted (most common) and unsalted available. Just bought some today.

I didn't believe the hype till I used it for my stuffing today. The taste and color is definitely a level up.

There has to be a bunch of hype artists in this thread. I just tried this Kerrygold butter side by side with the Lucerne butter from Safeway. No major difference. It's unfortunate that I do not have the Costco butter right now. If memory is correct, the one from Costco is the best.

I bought Kerrygold butter at Sam's a while back as it was on sale in a smaller quantity that I preferred compared to other butter they had in stock at the time. I taste zero difference compared to the regular everyday sticks of butter I typically buy at Aldi. Maybe my palate is not as sophisticated as some of the others here. LOL.

Yes, somewhat hype. It's better butter than most, but not so much better as some hype artists might lead you to believe. That said, I always try to buy it on sale because it is better... but I'm not going to hype it up like it's a major difference that everyone will notice.
