I think a lot of people use earbuds improperly, which is why one might say the sound quality is poor or the noise canceling doesn't work. I have seen many people not have the right rubber ends to create the necessary suction needed inside the ear, or just not put them inside the ear enough. Without that perfect fit, sound quality and noise canceling will be poor...on any earbud.

The microphone on this is terrible. Don't use it for video call, a cheap usb microphone is much better.

This is a great deal if they are genuine Sony and come with new tips.
Event without new tips these are great,just buy new comfy memory foam tips.
I have a pair and they sound great as compared to similar priced options or even airpods pro.They are heavier and some might find these awkward to use.Get a proper set of eartips and these will last a while.


Best thing is the noise cancellations and customization in the app.Seriously you won't find a better pair for sub 100.I looked at atleast 10 brands and these were durable when buying used even.

These earphones are too big for side sleeping. I have tried multiple other earphones for side sleeping and found the Samsung buds 2 to have the smallest size and doesn't stick out of the ear so they were good fit for side sleeping.

Google buds A series should have a small size too so it might be another good option but I haven't tried it yet.

Noise canceling is really good on these and they sound amazing. Unfortunately they just didn't fit good and were uncomfortable and fell out of my ears all the time.

I ended up returning em and getting the Bose QC earbuds (similar noise canceling and sound quality) which were just released at the time. They fit my ears better but still not perfect.

Obviously ymmv with the fit but at $60 this is a good deal for a very great sounding pair of earbuds. One thing everyone recommends is getting Comply foam tips. Supposedly they fit in your ear better and create a better seal for even better sound cancelation. I was gonna try them next if I didn't return em for the Bose.

Deal posts have thumbdowns for many reasons such as "bad product", "poor merchant reputation", or "inability to replicate deal"-- cases someone could just think the product was bad, had a bad experience with the seller, or deal link could have been broken. All of which are valid reasons to thumb down a deal post.

For reference, on desktop you can click the deal vote and it will show you a percentage of people voted up or down on a post and their reasons. Slickdeals mobile and the app are awful so don't use them for actually posting deals because you'll miss important information such as this. User voting is important to watch because there may be an issue with the deal at first for the poster to fix. A moderator may have fixed the deal but the thumbdowns will remain until those users come back (they likely wouldn't).

I don't understand this mentality of calling people whiney for any shred of negativity. It's whiney for crying over thumb downs. This isn't Reddit, so grow up. Being a new user doesn't mean people should be patting your ass.
