Come on. You returned what you bought 4 years ago and are proud of it?

Go with the Asus. I've tried both and got much better coverage from the Zen.

On another note, apparently Netgear makes you pay for tech support after 90 days to actually use your warranty. That was a no go for me.

Costco also has TP-Link Deco AX5700 ( 2-pack ). I can probably get a 3rd one if needed.

Checked some online review about both. But still conflicted between Deco and Orbi.

For you techies out there - can I use this with a Verizon wifi router that is in the basement and connect them to the network cat boxes upstairs to amplify my wifi? I have the router connected to the switch boxes and patch cables to send the signal to the boxes. BUT I do not know what to use for the top to floors to amplify the WIFI strength. The router has to stay in the basement…

I've got an RBK 50, an RBS 50, and an RBS 20 in my current (soon to be older) house. Can I use my older devices with this system without compromising the quality of these newer devices? I read before that using older devices with newer systems downgrades it to the speed of the oldest device.

Normally I would recommend, but recently my iOS devices and Samsung TV started having issues with connecting to it. Had to take down the satellite unit and everything is working well now.

Paid the $479 for this a year ago, considering taking it back. Going to see if I can get the satellite unit to work again, but it is disappointing to have to deal with the nonsense.

I have RBR20 with 2 satellites in a 1800 Sqft home, will this be a major upgrade for me? Currently I find loading ring live feeds to be laggy. Wondering if this would help? Thanks guys!

works great, horrible software.... and that goes with most of these routers
Amen to that. It took Netgear over 1 year to release working firmware for my RBK50 set. Then it was rock solid for 1 year, then another infamous bug brought the entire system down. Lucky for me enough people complained so Netgear was forced to re-release the fix for that version. After downloading it manually it works fine again. What really socks is Netgear tech support. I would be all over this o e but don't want to go through the nightmares of waiting for stable firmware version from Netgear

I have Verizon gigabit. Just did a test on my rbr20 and im getting 770mbps download and 862mbps upload. Also I don't have much wifi in my backyard. I want to get WiFi for at least another 50-70 ft behind my home. Currently it says I have wifi but usually nothing loads on my phone if I'm on it outside.

Bought this to replace our old Velop mesh system that was struggling to keep all nodes running 24x7.

Since install a few weeks ago, I haven't had a single hiccup with the Orbi system and coverage is excellent. We're getting Wifi deep into the edges of the outdoor garden and speeds are ridiculously fast.

It's a great system.

Guys I have this system with the cable modem/router and 2 satellites if anybody is interested in buying it from me. It's in perfect condition and was only used for 6 months. I switched to the comcast xfi setup because this modem can only handle up to 800GBPS. I'm on a much higher plan.

Returned my Asus XT8 two pack for this system instead. The XT8 satellite node would drop internet for a minute or two at least once a day. Same positioning as the Eero Pro's it was replacing which were rock solid for two years until the router node started failing.

Have had the Orbi setup for a couple days now with no issues. The XT8 had more configuration/options, but those aren't good for anything if the system isn't stable first. Plus for around the same price, it's 3 nodes instead of 2.
