I don't have the ryobi one but I do have the dewalt version. Both in 10oz and 28oz versions and they're one of my favorite tools. Easy to use, consistent, and keeps a lot of pain and aches away.

There's probably nothing wrong with a manual one. But, it's 2021 and I'm trying to automate anything I can. This gave me better "aim" and more patience because my hands/forearms weren't burning or cramping.

No I can totally see how it could work. I can't keep an even bead. Lol
Same here. I still need to take mine apart and clean. Any tips?

Well, it might be different situations, but since my mess wasn't a super strong adhesive, I let it cure or get solid for a few days after I took it apart. After that, it was basically using a few hand picks and tweezers here and there to remove everything.
Perhaps it's obvious, but I was lucky enough to noticed the mess before I pulled the handle/gunked teeth through the main body. Bc of that, I didn't have to do a full disassembly
If you only do it occasionally, you can just use a finishing tool to smooth the bead. Or hell, just moisten your finger.
I have all ridgid batteries but have a ryobi adapter for when I feel like using ryobi tools.
