I've been monitoring this whetstone for a while and set up a 3 camel alert on it if it dropped under $39.99.. It is now $29.00 so I jumped on it. I'd say it is certainly slick, but there's only about 9 left!

Did the research on ceramic and glass stones, and Shapton is the brand you want. In for one. I have also looked at generics, and the overwhelming consensus is that they're a waste of money.

I can get a good edge on the cheap generic chinese stones... I wouldn't call them "bad", but they will dish very fast compared to a Shapton. Shapton also seem to have a nicer feel to them.
Do i need any other grit whetstone for sharpening my knives or is just having this one enough to sharpen my knives.
Start with this and learn to use it well. This will make a nice toothy edge for kitchen knives and typical kitchen knives don't get much better with very high grit stones.
Lower grits (like 350ish) would be good for chips and resetting bevels. That might be your next buy. This one will still work but take longer. But it's more forgiving while you learn.
Most western knives don't improve past 2k and you're nearly there. Many people get a 4K or 5k to finish very hard knives.
Beyond that, you're eitherhoning razors or sharpening for ego.

Kinda redundant with my DMT plates and Shapton Pro 2k but at OP price I would have bought for sure.
