anyone that is connecting their account should be aware this firm, like many others, is using Yoodle to verify your bank information.

You should know that Plaid, Yoodle and companies like them scrape your personal bank account information using your username + password, and then they will use that for their own data mining purposes --- in addition to providing the data to the requesting company as part of their service.

- In this case they are obtaining all your bank transactions over 365 Days and your balance to make it available to Green Dot bank.
- they will maintain this access until you change your Funding Bank account password.

The only way to stop Plaid and Yoodle from harvesting your personal and financial information after you've used any "login to verify your bank" services is by changing your Bank password.

NOTE: Plaid/Yoodle etc can gain access to all your banking information, including mortgages, loans, credit cards etc. as they login to your account pretending to be you and scrape data that your bank may present to you on your bank home page. While in this case scope is limited to your transactions over 365 days and balances, other companies may try to extract as much information as possible about your finances, without you knowing.

Since they have no other funding source option (w/o turning over my entire finances to this no-name bank, or incurring a $25 wire deposit fee) it seems like I'll have to pass on the deal.

I've read this elsewhere, and it is alarming they're asking for documentation well after account is funded and someone is actively using it.

So what did you do? We filled out as self so what if we do not have a name lol.

I did completed the 5 a week ago and i got no such message.

I've made 10+ 'debit' purchases (not including 'credit' purchases) so far but have not received - at time of writing this post - any documents' requests as you mentioned.

Banks have KYC legal requirements as well as a general desire to avoid riff-raff. They obviously don't "know" you, either because you don't have a well established business relationship with them (or one they can discern from available information), or 'adverse' scores from Chex or other consumer raters. It is not a scam or scheme or ripoff or whatever. They're just being a bank. It doesn't happen to everybody... just ones as described above.

Kabbage should lift the transfer requirements to $25,000 its going to take days to transfer $100,000.

I completed my last debit card use on Nov. 10, so not quite a week for me.
All of my purchases were in a store and all different ones. Less than $10 for each purchase.
I logged in just now based on your post.
There are no messages in Message Center.
If they pull that stunt with me, I am pulling my money.

I looked all over and I don't see a way to change the presumably paper default setting.

I didn't set up anything and just got my first statement electronically. I assume it's automatically paperless.

After learning that logging into my bank from Kabbage is the norm nowadays and that I can change password later to prevent potential data mining, I walked away from Kabbage and applied for a Citi Custom Card with $300 signup bonus after $1000 manufactured spending.
