A lot of complaints about consistent motion detection and recording of events. On the up side, a lot of positive reviews from folks who bought the camera unlike the door bell. On a related item, I was thinking of getting the door bell, but most of the reviews on that item were all "freebie" reviews that were mostly positive. It's hard to trust reviews if they are all getting something for free. Peace

This camera is an absolute beast! By far one of the best cameras I have ever used. It's AI motion detection tracking is insane for this price point. Nothing else on the market this good at this price range. I was originally concerned based on some of the reviews noting the motion detection was faulty. As I looked into it more on other sites and reviews, turns out it was indeed true, until eufy updated the firmware.! So anyone buying this make sure you update the firmware before you just "go". Also, there are infinite settings you can configure to tweak range, sensitivity, locations, etc. since I purchased, they have been adding more and more functionality. You will be amazed when this tracks someone walking from one side of your house to the complete opposite side. And given you don't even need a hub or nvr, this gives users easy adoption. I don't usually rave about products (especially on slickdeals) but this one is really impressive.

Does Floodlight Cam 2 Pro connect to eufyCam HomeBase?

No, Floodlight Cam 2 Pro does not require a HomeBase or hub to work; it connects directly to Wi-Fi. For users who have a eufy HomeBase and would like the Floodlight Cam to save videos on HomeBase, please stay tuned. This feature will be available in the future.

What's the capacity of the internal storage on Floodlight Cam 2 Pro? Can I upgrade it?

Floodlight Cam 2 Pro has 8GB of local storage built-in for motion-triggered recordings. At a rate of 45 half-minute video clips per day, the internal memory can store about 30 days' footage. Storage can not be upgraded.

Is Floodlight Cam 2 Pro wireless?

Floodlight Cam 2 Pro requires existing outdoor wiring and a junction box for installation.

*** The last point is a deal-breaker for me. I set up two non-floodlight eufy cameras at my mom's house with solar panels and so far they work great! Maybe these require too much power with the floodlights to be wireless, not sure.

I've got the doorbell and have used it for a couple of years. So far it's pretty good. No false positives but it misses things here and there. I haven't updated the firmware so maybe I should. Great image quality, even at night.

Might want to add "wired only" in the title.

Why? He didn't say it was battery powered, that's your assumption.

Anyway, I have this camera and agree with previous poster. It is a beast and the tracking works great. I've had countless security cameras and this is easily the best in terms of performance and features.

There is no way something like this could be powered by a battery. This is in a totally different league than anything battery powered.

Even if I did decide to go through the hassle of wiring two of these, now that Costco is selling eufy, I will buy from there due to their warranty.

Super dumb question - what's a junction box? Can this not be powered by an extension cord?

I love my eufy doorbell. Make sure its the 2k. For 100 bucks I paid i would easily paid 200 for the 2 years and 0 issues with it.

Ummm, because for many people, like me, that's a determining factor when purchasing an outdoor camera. So why waste time clicking on a thread when it is a nonstarter. Seems pretty simple to add two words to the title, but I guess you take issue with that for some strange reason? Chill out, dude.
I'm chill. But it's ridiculous to expect someone who is posting a deal to predict what features AREN'T important "for many people" and preemptively spare them from the wasted time and effort of making a mouse click.

I suppose if I'm posting a deal for food I have to specify if it is vegan and gluten free and low carb because those things are also important for many people.

For cameras people care if they have local storage or if they require a subscription or if they require a hub or if they work with Alexa or many other things. It's not the OPs job to state what features are missing. And especially not in the title.

I don't understand why their outdoor cameras are so expensive when their indoor ones are so cheap. Is it not just their $30 2K camera in an outdoor enclosure? As for this floodlight, it's exactly what I was looking for except I gave up awhile back and just mounted the $40 indoor pan & tilt under an overhang next to a motion sensor flood light and it works pretty great. I have no doubt this is a better solution for sure but $200 better? That I'm not convinced of.

Anyway I'm still tempted to do it right and just get an all-in-one unit but I'm not so sure yet.
