I recently tried a 3D mask and I hate it for laying down. They are stiff and even turning your head to the side causes it to shift, which is annoying and therefore keeps you up. The think "natural" one doesn't have that issue. The 3D one also has a wider headband, which is too wide even for my big dome. It causes the angle in the back to be sub-optimal for my ear/head shape.
Overall, I'd say that the 3D is fine for seated sleeping, and the natural one for all sleeping. If I bought this, I would give away the 3D. I wouldn't pay $1 for the 3D on its own.

You can get as low as $1 for sleep mask in ebay.
*edit - it worked after about 6 tries. Switch it to subscribe and save to see the 10% coupon, then I backed out and restarted the app and it popped up.
