Avoid those with suction cups like these. Unsafe, and them falling off the window have resulted in psychological problems with cats.

Much better type that solidly hooks into the sill, like this: https://www.chewy.com/kh-pet-prod...w/dp/46616

These ones that rely on suction cups are pretty flaky and prone to popping off, resulting in the entire thing falling. The styles that have bars to rest on underneath are the ideal types (pretty much any support underneath really).

Also, not sure why everyone is ripping apart the earlier poster simply for mentioning cats getting psychological problems from falling. That wasn't even the main point of their post and your comments aren't helpful.

I have had this one on a window for 18 months and a hefty 12lb cat that uses it several times a day. I have to work at getting the suction cups off. I did clean the window with 91% alcohol first then place the suction cups. Mine love this thing!

Yup. This was covered in a My Cat From Hell episode. Cat was sleeping and it crashed to the floor. It then perceived the outside as a threat.

I'm guessing it's a must-have if you like to hear your cat bickering at birds outside.

Besides, cats have gotten short-changed for years now that thin flat screen TVs have replaced those big boxy CRT TV sets.

I have one of these (not this brand). It worked great for a couple months, now the suction cups randomly come off. They come off more during the summer months than they do in the winter months. It got to the point none of the cats would get up on it any more, they sat under it and looked out the window/sun bathed. I've read on the reviews that it's best to use these on windows that do not have direct sun light, which defeats the purpose since that's the only windows the cats use in my house.

I ordered this exact one back in august, cleaned off the window with windex before attaching the suction cups, one fell off overnight (thankfully) while my cat wasn't on top of it. So I cleaned it with windex again and reattached it and it's been sturdy ever since.

Sadly I bought it when it was 30$ thinking I was buying a higher quality one because it was more expensive, but she loves it. Ended up getting 2 of my friends to buy it as well.
