The biggest reason I still have not sold my spark is because of the "follow me" mode. None of the minis support that. That said, 299 is a little too much especially without a controller.

Wrong. You can use the follow me mode with the minis using Litchi app.​

DJI warranty does not cover any malfunctions or fly aways when using any third party apps. There are lots of reported incidents on DJI forums and some YouTube videos too. But, that's my personal risk tolerance level on a $400 investment. For those who have cash to burn, shouldn't be a big deal.

Only the mini 1. Litchi doesn't support mini se or mini 2 yet. https://flylitchi.com/help
