Yes, out of the box. But they will not rtsp and record to SD card. If it starts locking up, remove the SD card. learned this the hard way, but since then flawless. oh and mine are outside.

Beware of Eufy security issue: https://9to5mac.com/2021/05/17/hu...cy-breach/ [9to5mac.com]

It is better to buy security equipment from trustable vendors. IMO, Eufy is NOT on the safe list.
Who cares? These cameras are for the outside or hallways. If they really want to see what you're doing, they can do it no matter what. Have you heard of Jeff Bezos' and Ben Hubbard's (a NY Times journalist) iPhones were hacked with a zero-click exploit?

How well do these work in darkness? Was thinking of using this as a baby monitor replacement
They will work great as a baby monitor, have auto infrared so it will record and monitor in black and white when you have the lights off. .

here is what i do with all HomeKit-compatible devices:

1) set them up with the device's app or web server or whatever
2) add them to HomeKit
3) program my router to disallow the device from communicating with the internet

this works because the devices all talk to your HomeKit hub device as a proxy to apple's servers/cloud. as long as the HomeKit hub can see the internet it all works.

this of course means you have to trust apple. but this way i don't worry about random chinese companies having access to my LAN, or having a cloud breach.

the downside is that a lot of these devices have crappy internal clocks and drift badly, and being cut off from the internet they can't do an NTP request. however, with more creative router rules you might be able to let the devices do NTP and nothing else. i just periodically allow the devices to connect to the internet and they usually fix themselves up.

I've been able to use both RTSP and the sd card...

My system version is 2.1.0.5

also, what is the URL for RTSP on these things? i was not able to figure that the right URL or possibly it was not enabled (some old posts on the net say that there is a setting in the eufy app to enable this but i don't see that in my app.)

As long as you keep it under a canopy it should be no problem. I'm in Michigan.

Nope it just sits bare. I 3d printed a mount because my canopy is angled. As long as it hangs somewhere where no moisture can reach it. I have the wireless camera too but I prefer the pan and tilt because it notifies faster.

It is under "Storage" —> NAS(RTSP) in Eufy iOS app. User name, and password can be set there. Rtsp link can be copied from the same screen also.

Default URL: rtsp://user_name:password@IP_ADDRESS/live0

Agree, I use one as a baby monitor. The crying detection on the EufySecurity Android app works perfectly for us. Just note that if you don't mount it upside down, you probably need to put it on an angle to look into a cot.
