I've been pretty happy with these using HomeKit for recording. With HomeKit, you can have them automatically disable recording when you're home and automatically turn on when everyone leaves.

Yes, out of the box. But they will not rtsp and record to SD card. If it starts locking up, remove the SD card. learned this the hard way, but since then flawless. oh and mine are outside.

edit - rtsp with SD card record DOES work, I just had bad cards.

You mean everyone who owns an iPhone and the iPhone has paid sim with service. And they are all registered. For example you leave your mom behind in the house it will activate.

No, you an add multiple devices to detect location and set home/away mode. I've been playing with Geofencing but not being able to make it work all the time.

If you add people to your home, they are counted in the "when someone is home" automation. But yes, it is limited to iOS users with service, so maybe a narrow use case. But I've been happy.

But live views and recording is in 1080 on Homekit. The recordings DONT take iCloud space which is good.

The Eufy app can record in 2k if it is NOT set to continuous recording and live viewing can set to highest (2k).

I have my mounted under a outside flower shelf in SF Cali still works when fog/rain for about 1 yr now.

There seems to be an issue when setting it up to connect to my main 2.4ghz wifi as the selection is grayed out but 2.4ghz Guest wifi is fine. I have Asus ax92u router.

Thanks, ordered a set. Been waiting for these to go on sale a little. I have quite a few Eufy cams and never really had a problem with them. Doorbell on the other hand, lol has a mind of it's own.
