FYI, if you get payment error on the last screen:
We're sorry, but we are unable to accept your payment method at this time. Please try another payment method.
Open an incognito (private browsing) window and go through the entire checkout process again, but use a different credit card. It won't work if you simply try to switch cards.
-------------------------------
If your Chase card isn't accepted, call the number on the back of your card and the recordings will prompt you to do a few things and then the hold will be removed. I didn't even need to speak to anyone...easy as pie.
You can also add these Visa cards manually to your Walmart Wallet and use with Walmart Pay at the registers.
These cards cannot be added to Google Pay or Samsung Pay. Virtual Visa most likely cannot be used in person or used with NFC in stores. To work around this, buy the store's gift card on their website and use that in store.
Do fees apply after my Account is established?
Yes. If you do not use your Account for 12 consecutive months, we will charge a Monthly Maintenance Fee of $4.95 on the first day of each month that follows (starting with month 13) until you use the Account again. At that point, we will wait until 12 more consecutive months of inactivity occur before charging the fee again. If you don't use your Account for an extended period of time, these fees may lower or even exhaust the balance of your Account before the "valid thru" date has passed. You may avoid this fee by making regular purchases with your Account.
There is also a Replacement Account Fee of $5 to replace a lost or stolen Account, so please safeguard your Account information. This fee does not apply to replacement of an expired Account.
If I'm reading their terms correctly, it's a $5.95 fee for cards up to $250. So if you max this out with 3 virtual $250 cards it comes out to a ~7.6% discount. Should probably note the fees in the OP. They're not unexpected for a VISA debit card, but good to note.
My power company takes credit card for payments. billls are outrageous and can make advance payments.
Yeah, I almost never use it, but this quarter it is pretty much netting me 5% cash back on almost every purchase thanks tot he PayPal Chase freedom offer (have multiple freedom cards, so pretty much unlimited 5% back for 3 months worth of spending).

Tried 4 different credit cards, and for all 4 of them got the error: We're sorry, but we are unable to accept your payment method at this time. Please try another payment method.
edit: Looks like the error is a browser session-based error. If you open incognito and go through the whole checkout process again, it will accept your card even if it continuously denied it before. Stupid site.
edit2: Here is what your cart should look like on the final screen, if you spend 3x $250 and put in the promo code. Note, the gift cards arrived within 30 seconds by email and I had to fill in a long form 3 times in a row to get the card numbers to activate, it took about 10 minutes total. Still worth it for roughly $50 bucks free

Good deal; same as the last one over July 4th. Haven't finished the last batch I bought yet as back-to-back PayPal 5% quarters (Discover Q3, Chase Q4) meant I'd max out the 5% cards first before using these for online purchases.
My experience with this from the previous deal:
1. Cannot use PayPal Key to buy. A shame too because it's 5% quarter with Chase Freedom.
2. The virtual visa is more restricted in its use than physical visas I've gotten from other deals. For example, it cannot be used as payment for PayPal Key. Normal PayPal checkout works. I also couldn't use it as payment method for my phone bill.
A bit harder to use than a physical visa card; I think I'll try buying Walmart GCs with these.

Not a bad way to save on your utility bills for 10 min of work. You're going to have to pay them anyways!

No complains… cash gift cards have fees. But we can't order 750 in one shot.
