All you people complaining about them raising the prices, look up steel and aluminum costs for the year. Paint costs are rising as well. Also ocean freight costs are ontragous and even truck freight pricing has gone up and tell me how companies are supposed to not raise their prices…

Before the Pandemic, HF would be busy. Always trying to pull in people with their coupon deals. Now theres barely any. Barely 20% coupons. Also going in theres barely any people there. Maybe 5-8 customers throughout the store. Compare that to 30-50 at a given time. I think there was a upper management change because the people who used to work there dont anymore. I mean these were people who worked at HF for YEARS.

Does anyone elses HF feel the same way?

Before the pandemic, a box of nitrile gloves were under $10, and with these 30% off coupons, I'd buy 10 boxes at a time which would last me over 8 months. Those were good ol' days. Now nitrile gloves are over $14 a box. Ridiculous.

I don't think HF has the merchandise.I was just looking for the things I normally buy when this coupon comes out. It seems half of those items are out of stock. The products are probably held up at the unloading dock. I'm really surprised to see this sale.

This is good deal if they didn't jack up the price. For example this plier set https://www.harborfreight.com/pli...64136.html was $13.49 about 10 months ago, I have receipt, I bought it with 30% off coupon at $9.44, now it's $17.99, up to 33%, this 30%+ price increase happened almost every item, that's why people don't go there anymore, at least I don't. Is there dollars devaluation happening? Yes. By 30%, no, do harbor freight customers income increased by 30%, absolutely NO, echo to the gentleman comment above, there's rarely people there, stupid "upper management " probably MBA from some business schools, it's sad that HF used to be my favorite store and it's dying , that being said I still want to go to check it out tomorrow.

In the past the register would apply the discount to more than 5 items so it was YMMV if the cashier enforced the fine print or not. Seemed like most people got away with it when doing more than 5 items.

Fairly common for all these large corporations to do that. Three years ago a local store manage of a Petco (Chewy.com) store for 25+ years was humiliated by a new regional manager. Berated for 3 months over absolutely nothing until he resigned. That is what is taught in corporate America these days. Attack your lower management until they quit. Always someone new to take their place. Does it keep labor costs down? Yes and it causes employee shortages, poor stocking of shelves, poor store sales. The store barely has two customers any time I have ever walked in. No employee knowledgeable on anything! I stopped going in because cans of wet and dry pet food were expired but still on the shelves, some covered in dust.
