Verizon Wireless Loyalty $5 for 999GB of data per month YMMV

I chatted with Verizon this past week as we had an overage of data on our old 12gb monthly family plan shared data that includes hotspots. The rep credited the overage charge and said we had a loyalty offer for $5 extra per month for 999GB to continue indefinitely. Sounded like a great deal as we always get close the plan limit or go over. We use hotspot tethering a lot as well for work.

This worked out great for us as I had no desire to switch to the new unlimited plans as they would have increased out monthly bill by a lot.

We've been with Verizon for about 13 years.

Just logged into My Verizon portal and it was right there on my 5GB plan (pic attached) for $10/mo addl. No rep needed. Thanks OP!

On 8gb shared with safety mode on. I'm a 15+ year customer. option for $10 for 999gb bonus each month was under manage my services and plan, need more data? option. Wish it had been $5, but
$10 is still good. been hitting my 8gb max more often lately so this should help.

Me too. I had the grandfathered UDP and they suddenly took me off and put me as pay as you go data without even contacting me. Pretty shitty. I called and they said I use too much data that's why they kicked me off. I was happy to take my business to Firstnet and pay $35 for unlimited untrottled data with hotspot
