Lol ... it is loud, but I've never seen a true 5hp shop vac in my life... and for good reason.
The way they rate these wet vacs is absolutely hilarious.
For instance, a 5 hp motor would be like 40 to 70 amps. It would essentially put you panel box into a new floor of Dante's Inferno.
The bone people have for Volts, Amps, and HP here in the US is hilarious. (For instance, in most of the rest of the world, a Dewalt can't be called a 20 volt tool... because it's not 20v lol. I i think it's same with vacuums too.)
For instance, my 6.5hp craftsman has 1/10th the power as my 1hp dust collector. Both are doing the same task (sucking up debris) but my dust collector could inhale my shop vac causing it to implode upon itself like an empty can in the Marianas Trennnnnnnnnch* .
I could be wrong in some ways, but the shop vacs
*- Brutal wifs thuh grampus geetarsk lol. Inside joke only I might get.
If you have the space to work with. In my experience the smaller the shop vac the easier it is to transport, store, and use. Worst is when you're pulling one of these suckers along by the hose and the vac can't go somewhere because of its size or knocks a bunch of stuff over on the way.
16 gallons is great but a hassle to move around particularly if you live in a smaller home. I also have a 16 and it's a total pain moving it around. I live in NYC so even finding a spot to store it can be... annoying

Waiting for a bundle deal with the car cleaning kit.
Anyone know if this one (https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../202077241
SKU# 202077241) with wheels and more accessories is worth the extra money (comparing retail prices)? Wondering if I should just get OPs link and wait for the car cleaning kit to go on sale?

Yes. Its a 5hp vacuum... Lots of power given its size. Have used this for over a year and would buy again.

As for the car kit, HD or AZ both have it for the $25 price point. For those that qualify, HD does have the 10% military discount too.
