I've been looking for a good wide angle monitor and when I saw this deal, I got a little excited. But when I started reading the reviews, I'm not so sure now. I'm working on a MacBook Pro M4 16 inch max and some of the reviews on their site really make me question whether this is worth it or not. Does anyone own this monitor and can you give me an idea whether it's worth it thinking about or not?

I've been using mine for about two years. Overall, it's been great — but I've run into two issues:
  1. The monitor takes about 30 seconds to wake up. I've searched online and tried adjusting various settings, but haven't been able to fix it.
  2. It causes eye strain after a few hours of use.
For context, I used 27" iMacs (2015 and 2020 models) for about eight years, and switched to the Studio Display around two years ago. I've also used several HP Z-series 4K 27" monitors — never had any issues with eye strain.
PS the whole experience comes from an M3 MacBook Pro.

I feel 34" would be too small for 5k2k. Nice if your eyes can deal with it, though.
