I use this router when making my dining room table top in a combination with an edge guide. Also, used it for the seat tops of the chairs. Also, just used it with some thin quarter inch plywood for my coffee table. It won't handle anything larger than half inch at best, but given that's the majority of the stock in my shop it works just fine for quick jobs.
Definitely handy to have in a pinch given its battery operated, but won't tackle anything heavy duty. Pine is its best friend.
For me it's mighty handy to have. I've installed doors and use it to route out the area for the door striker, used a roundover bit for deck railings, taken the edge off of countertops to make them smaller or remove the excess laminate edge. It's a pretty good trim router, but of course a trim router isn't in the same league as a full size. I replaced my 15 year old Harbor Freight trim router with this and haven't looked back.
This^ Keep in mind its a low power trim router and not meant for deep single pass cuts and you'll be fine. This is the only router I have and have used it for a pretty wide range of cuts, just go slow and take small amounts off with each pass.

This is the link w/o battery

I was looking for a router when I found this one. Still debating if cordless router a better option, or a corded one.

Please post your experience if you own it, or have used it. Thanks

I just picked up tool only yesterday. Now time to sell my corded Black+Decker Matrix drill/impact/recip/router combo since I have all of those as 18+.

This deal is not bad, but far from the 3 tool deal a couple years ago that included a glue gun and 1/4 sheet sander for $69, or the 3 tool deal with corner and 1/4 sheet sanders for $68 earlier this year.

I have 2 corded routers, a plunge router and a fixed based router attached to a router table. So, I bought this strictly for small and portable jobs. Functionally, it works just fine as a trim router. Paired with quality router bits, like Whiteside, it has no trouble making clean cuts through all kinds of woods. Ergonomically, it doesn't provide the best user experience. Because of the battery form factor, you can only hold it one way. When you hold the router, the power switch is directly behind and above your right wrist. You have to cross your left hand over your right right forearm to turn it on/off. I always find it awkward to turn off the router. Intuitively I try to turn it off from the front. I don't find the power button there then I fumble around to find the actual power button location. It just feels awkward and dangerous.

I bought the least expensive trim router because I already own 2 corded routers. But it has proven to be such a useful tool, I often reach for it first. Having used mine for a year, I am seriously considering upgrading to a higher quality trim router like a Bosch or Dewalt not because it doesn't work well (on the contrary, it works really well), but simply for the better user experience that improves my quality of (woodworking) life.

I got mine there for under $50 as had a coupon. Used it so far to create a stand for washer and dryer and wife used it for a few plaques and art projects. Been great

The time buy one of these from DTO was a week ago, when it was 25% off with Free Shipping. Or wait closer to the Holidays for another DTO 'Free Ship' sale or a Home Depot 'free tool' sale and hack.

I have this router and will say that it is very decent quality. If you want an inexpensive, battery power router, this is the way to start. Only thing I wish it had was a plunge base accessory, but that's not what they were going for. I just gotta buy more tools, oh well. Haha

I work in maintenance and use this around once a month to replace doors. This paired with the ryobi hinge jig works perfectly, if this is your first ryobi tool I'd recommend getting some bigger batteries, the 2.0 won't last too long.

And just incase this is your first time using a router, put it on your work piece and get a good grip before turning it on, leave it on your work piece when you turn it off and don't pick it up until it's stopped spinning.

I use this to Mill aluminum ar lowers. Never had a problem. The endmill bit worries me more than the router. Slices aluminum same as wood.

For those needing more tools this combo (Router, ROS, Jig saw) seems like a good deal for $129 (they ship together in one box)-
