Check your Chase cards as well. My Chase cards have 10% off Best Buy purchases, up to $25 off $250. Better offer than my AMEX, as you don't have to spend all $250 to get the 10% off.

i returned a laptop today that i got the credit on. I told the rep to just give me a gift card instead of putting it back on the card, but he just followed all the prompts and back on the card it went. the laptop was on my previous statement, but the credit came on this statement, so i wonder if that makes a difference.

Nope. I don't do it frequently with my AmEx, but anytime I've had to return where a credit is involved, they've never clawed back. I don't drop alot on my card so I dunno. YMMV

The offer seem to have disappeared from the account recently, I verified it was there when the purchase was made on Nov 30. Upon contacting CS they are adamant I did not save the offer properly to card. Good time to think about Amex promotions going forward.

I take a screenshot showing offer was added to card every time I add an offer just to be prepared should AMEX try to argue any different.
