If you got the last deal with the same setup at $690, I called HP Customer Service (don't chat to Sales, they can't do anything) and they reduced the price by $50 for me as a credit.

HP have a page about this process so don't let them talk you out of it because of whatever excuse they come up with. It's been less than 30 days and you are entitled to the credit.

Page: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/pricematch
Section: HP Price Protection (after purchase)
Phone: They don't include a phone number to call. I called them on 888.999.4747

Id pay the extra $100 for the 5600g CPU. More L3 Cache, 50% more cores, and higher max frequency.

Sadly, the Initate15 code made this 15% off last night. But it expired. I should've pulled the trigger then.
That's what I get for waiting to discuss it with my wife in the morning. smh

You got to move quick on these deals. I waited because I already placed an order and by the time I called to price adjust, the coupon had expired like you said. I didn't order another because they may charge you a restocking fee. Which could the same amount as you would be saving over the original order.

Who knows what Black Friday will hold. Another larger discount may come around again in the coming weeks. Just depends on whether you need it before Xmas. Shipping times are slipping quick.

No reason to get the G unless you need the integrated gfx. Better to swap for a 5800x IMO (unless im overlooking some issue with psu etc)

Can I take out the Ryzen 3 and then put a 5800x or 5900 in the same board?

Looks like the PC without the card is selling for around 400 or less. So you could walk away with a 3060 for around 500.

That comes with the 4300g, but other than the systems would be very comparable. You could probably get about $450 for the system without the GPU.

That would be the case with the 1660 Super build as well, which would more or less mean getting a GPU at close to what their MSRP should be

~ $419 for the 3060
~ $189 for the 1660S (in a parallel world where this card would have seen normal price cuts by now)
~ $99 for the 5500 4GB that comes with the stock configuration
