They don't really have a system to check. You can just select the shareholder option and you'll get it.

You can also check https://www.amctheatres.com/amcstubs/rewards to see if the reward has been added to your account.

My local theatre allows me to order ahead for food via the app. It should deduct via that too.

I previously got the free coffee through the Investor Connect program, and for whatever reason, it remained on my account even after multiples redemptions, so I ended up getting around 10 cups of coffee.

No such luck with the popcorn.
