I've never had an issue with any hue products. Even the refurbished stuff or used off ebay items. Everything has been pretty high quality.

I have about 4 srips and 3 extensions.

Now if you want to say it's over priced... I'm with you there lol.

Back in Jun, they gave $25 discount per item, limit was still 2. So these are $10 ea more than last time. I know…no time machine. Just letting people know they aren't giving as much a discount before. Still, I can't say I've had poor connections like the member above…mine have been flawless and have been really happy with them. Turning them on/off with my phone and Alexa is great.

These strips are junk. Very bad quality for connections for extensions and stuff.

I have so many hue products as well. Yes everything hue is overpriced. I like their bulbs but this v4 lightstrip is not as good. It's flimsy at the end where you connect extension

Ok yes…I'll agree with the end connectors; it doesn't snap or lock in and I've had my extension come undone. I just had to take a bit more time to ensure the strips were taped securely and the extension wasn't being weighed down on the other end too much with the power adapter.

I had the power supply go bad on a lightstrip once. It was under warranty (and the asked me my purchase order# and date). Shipped everything back to them for troublshooting (I don't remember at who's cost), and they replaced it with the newer gen 2 model. Overall pretty easy.

I have several play bars and the strip. The strip was the only problem so far.

I purchased these last year off ebay for about $50 for 15 feet. Not sure if they are the same model but they are nice because they tie into the rest of the Hue environment and it's easy. But I also have some of those cheep LED kits of amazon for $20 and they are fairly similar.

I was considering using this as part of my sit down desk set up but maybe it's a bit played out. Would probably be better to have lights that interact with my screen

There's something called warranty.

I have a few govee strips but needed something that syncs with my hue bars. At $70, these are expensive but the LEDs are better, they are covered (as opposed to exposed LEDs) and work with hue Bridge.

I have so many issues with my hue bulbs not being detected or responding to what I tell them to do.

This is a pretty solid deal for the strip plus an extension. Used to pay this much for a refurbished set, and they all still work great. Just look at the other front page deal right now which is basically just the base set for the same price (also includes a hub, which most people looking at these strips presumably have).

These things are awesome for setting up accent lighting in addition to regular bulbs. I have 2 in most rooms because they are so useful/flexible. They are quite bright as well.

Also never had any issues with things disconnecting or not being found once they are set up.

One thing to note though is that the extensions don't get you more light output. The same wattage flows into the strips, so if you keep adding extensions the whole strip just becomes less bright over it's length. For a single extension this isn't noticable but if you chain on 2 or more there are quickly diminishing returns.

I have quite a few Hue light bulbs and two light strips, no problems with any of them. The strips are at least three years old and on 6 to 7 hours every day. Yes expensive but very dependable in my experience.
