Only grain free for seniors it seems.

People, please only feed a grain free diet to dogs at the advice of a vet. It's the high amount of protein derived from peas that is most likely the culprit for grain free being dangerous. I don't think it's been 100% proven but there really is no reason to feed grain free unless they need it.

Been feeding my dog the American journey salmon and sweet potato. Didn't realize it was grain-free until lastnight... Debating whether or not to change him to a diet with grain. I will say vet in the past said it's not necessary for grain-free and that since he's been on this food he seems to have much issues with random vomiting that he used to have.

I have 3 non picky dogs. All 3 the minute i tried American journey puked from it. I am not a pet food snob and have tried many. But this one was bad enough I ended up throwing the bag away.

My vet has advised the same thing stating that grain-free diets are linked with cardiac troubles if I remember right. i

Our 8 year old lab mix is very picky. She'll only eat Costco Brand Lamb and Rice for older dogs(I think it's a generic IAMs) . We've tried like 10 other brands and she gives us the worst looks ever like " Why can't I just have the food I like" The vet says she's healthy so we just let her do her thing.

I'll order a bag of the lamb for her to try but I have a feeling it'll be going to my parents dog or the local shelter.
