Ordered this drone yesterday. Received today. I could not see one blemish on this drone or any parts. I believe this was actually a new drone and since DJI is releasing their new drones they're looking to get rid of the Mavic Air 2 inventory. I've purchased new drones before and how this refurbished drone was packaged was on par with a new drone. Pretty sure this price will go lower but I couldn't resist, worried it would be sold out.
Is the mini 2 the fly more combo? I got the $200 refurb original mini, and after one flight wish I'd held out for a fly-more combo. If you aren't certain about the use case, or it's just for fun, the Mini 2 is all you need. If you're going to fly in higher winds or know you'll be doing serious photography in questionable conditions (poor light, for ex), then the Air.
IMHO, the over/under 250g limit is a trivial marker. It's $5 to register your 250+g drone, and you're subject to the same regulations as a recreational flyer. If you decided to publish any pictures or footage (youtube, for ex) or use the drone for any non-recreational purpose you need a part 107 license regardless of the weight. (Part 107 is easy to pass, but expensive - $100+ -and takes about 2-4 hours to take the test, including travel to and from a testing site).

I've been studying drones ever since the front page deal on the DJI Mini 2 has been posted. I got that Mini 2 as my first drone and I am quite impressed by both flying capabilities and video quality.
Based on multiple reviews I read and watched on YouTube, the Air 2 might be the best bang for your buck. Not necessarily the most capable drone, however extremely capable for the money, pretty much pro level.
If I would not have gotten the Mini 2, I would have jumped on this.
I also ordered and then canceled the Air 2S, as I figured that will be too expensive when compared to Air 2. Fly more Air 2S is $1300.

If you plan on traveling outside of USA, its best to get mini 2. Most countries requires permits/license/registration if you are flying anything heavier than a mini 2.

True and that was another reason why I went for the Mini 2, as we travel often internationally.
First trip will be Costa Rica, over-there the sub-250 gram is not important.
Canada and Europe, big difference.

the problem is when you get to those types of countries, it doesn't just stop there. for sure they won't let you bring into the country anything larger than 250g and then on top of that, you cannot fly a sub-250g is pretty much any place. very few countries will welcome you with a tiny drone and then let you fly it anywhere you want. you will have to break the rules and then you may as well break the rules with a bigger drone. on top of that, the fact that your drone has a camera will propel it into the restricted class in many countries, too.
Can dji drones fly in the rain (are they waterproof)?
I've flown my mini 2 in light rain on multiple occasions without any issues. There are some vendors that sell "wet suits"..a neoprene-like material, for the DJI lineup. The reviews on those look pretty solid..may be worth looking into

Realistically, the batteries really on last 22-25 minutes - usually on the low side of that range because of the return to home settings.
You can fly this in snow, rain and heavy wind. I would not fly in in a thunderstorm obviously, haha.
Overall, I am glad I bought this - though I really should use it more.
