For those parents not really in the know...Nerf SUCKS now. Go with Adventure Force (Pro especially) and Dart Zone blasters. They have superior performance. Nerf is weak, overpriced, and have sold out to licensing. Your kids will thank you for getting them a better toy if you go with this advice!

Is it supposed to automatically add the refill to the cart with a discount applied? I can't make that happen in any combination of products or stores. How does one know if the deal is actually being applied?

Target CSR is being completely useless and just copy/pasting the same terms and conditions which don't explain how to know if you'll get the refill or not. They make it sound like the refill will ship with your order at shipping time if they have it, but no way to know until you get it. Which is really dumb.

I had the same thing happen. I talked to CSR through the online chat. They had me order it for store pickup with the refill, then they gave me a refund for the cost of the refill immediately. Hope that helps.

My wife eventually got told that when the order was processed she would receive a voucher via email which she can redeem for the refill. I guess we'll find out. Seems really complicated compared to just adding the items to the cart and the discount being applied.

I haven't purchased a Nerf gun since the 90's. I picked up some silly cheap Nerf Rival Curve Shot for $7.18 a few weeks back to play with my toddler. Boy I got in trouble, that thing is impressive, I can shoot the ball ~25 foot across the house off the wall and it bounces back to me like it's nothing. Needless to say, my toddler better be quick, this thing is a heck of a lot more powerful then nerf guns of old. What are these newage nerf's you speak of? If this little nerf ball shooter sucks I'd be afraid of leaving dent's in my walls. lol

He's not referring to the Rival (ball) guns. As far as I am aware, they are fine.

He's talking about the Nerf dart guns. They jam too much, often they don't sit in position and will fall out. It seems the competitors are making higher quality products when it comes to the dart guns.

Promo was not added when I placed my initial order. Had to go through CS to ship the refills separately.
