Do you guys not have a cheap junk phone for just this type of purpose? If not would recommend buying one of the tracfone $30 for a phone and year of service deals that pop up all the time here on slickdeals.

In for one - Costco hearing does this with a much nicer tool obviously. I would love to be able to see inside my ears or check dental work. (I don't think I'd try the extraction tool on my own though.)

According to one of the pictures, that model offers USB or WiFi connection. USB for Android and PC, WiFi for Android or iOS. Still, that only partially answers your question (wireless portion).

Based on my experience it allows access to your entire network. Much like how you're vulnerable when using public wifi this app allows the company to have access to your phone's data. I bought a similar product and started receiving notifications that my device was being flagged for suspicious activity across multiple sites. Luckily I was still in the return window but it gave me quite the scare..
