FYI:
10/15 Halloween Kills (Peacock)
10/15 The Last Duel
10/22 The French Dispatch
10/22 Dune (HBO)
10/22 The Harder They Fall
10/29 Last Night in Soho
10/29 Antlers

11/5 Eternals
11/5 Finch (Apple TV+)
11/12 Red Notice (Netflix)
11/12 Belfast
11/12 Ghostbusters Afterlife
11/19 Tick Tick Boom (Netflix)
12/19 C'mon C'mon
11/24 Encanto
11/24 House of Gucci
11/24 The Humans
12/10 West Side Story
12/17 Spider-Man: No Way Home
12/22 The King's Man
12/22 Matrix 4 (HBO)
12/22 Sherlock Holmes
12/24 Don't Look Up (Netflix)
In HCOL areas a single IMAX/Dolby Cinema ticket can be over $25. Just going once a month makes it worth it.

Would like to know the kind of job/home living people have to be able to see two-three movies a week?

For those who do the fandango deal and don't actually show up to the theater please do others a favor and reserve the least desirable seats 💺 at the worst times. It's frustrating to set up the movies… see great seats reserved and then realize half way through those seats are empty.

I agree less previews and no more Nicole Kidman.

To see what honestly? There's nothing worth seeing in 2021. Maybe the Matrix in Dec. But that's it. This is a colossal waste of $.

And AMC changed the size of their large popcorn to 50% of what it was previously, and it costs over $10. It's a joke. 2 sodas cost $15. It's the furthest thing from a slick deal.

This company is beyond bankrupt. I'd short the stock with every penny I had if I could actually find it to short.
Must be a hedge fund about to loose a bunch of money!

= 0.99 + 23.99 + 23.99 + tax
= 48.97 + tax

In SoCal, IMAX = 18.49, 3 IMAX movies break even (Dune, Eternals, Spider, Venom, 10 rings, Matrix, Sherloc, ...)
AMC Stubs A-List membership tier is a continuous service membership program. A-List has an initial non-cancelable term of three (3) monthly membership periods (the "Initial Commitment"). Thereafter, your Membership continues until it is canceled by you or us. Once cancelled, an individual may not renew a Membership in the A-List membership tier for a period of six (6) months.

I read this as a 4 month committment not three ( 1 Promo month + 3 contracted)
NYC Metro: $23.95/month+tax (or $26.02 or $78.06)

Can anyone confirm if charge is immediate of promo rate or total cost?

Try signing up with Virtual CC card generated by CITI or similar to that with $3 to $5.

it works for me. i have been using the program since its released.

I typically only see movies in Dolby Cinema(sometimes IMAX or AMC Prime) and those times are $26/each otherwise. But its really a program for those that love going to the movies. I do like the feature where if your friend has the AList as well you can grab them a seat as well.

Same I had A-List from the beginning and since July I have gone to the movies almost weekly. I have definitely gotten my money's worth. I love how you can get tickets for your entourage. I am happy with my membership as well

How can you get tickets for your entourage? Does it come out of your weekly allotment?

So the total cost is: $72.95 (71.95+1). You need to do at least 10 times in 90 days.
I go 3x a week for Dolby and imax. Totally worth it if you a movie goer.

Cancelled due to COVID, but this is very tempting with regards to rejoining. Here in NYC, it's without a doubt the best value even if you see as little as 2 or 3 movies in premium formats a month.

HA!
I thought TopGun2: Maverick was coming this holiday and you missed it.
Looks like May 22 release.

By the time they release that movie, the Super Hornet will be replaced by a new 5th gen fighter.

Initial: June 2020
Proposed: May 2022

I'm with you on nearly all of this except #8.
If theaters actually were awesome fun & safe & clean places to go, then they'd be able to COMPETE with watching movies at home.

Movies should be ideally direct to streaming and DVD on the same day they appear in the theater. If theaters actually upped their game, then people would still flock there for a fun night out they couldn't have at home. Otherwise -- because theaters aren't doing a lot of the stuff you rightly said they should -- screw 'em, let me give money that goes to the studios and artists and composers and such... and the middleman chain theaters can go bankrupt for all I care.
Sure, you want movie theaters to be chosen every time over staying at home. I get that. But the day and date model is not good for theaters because it's equal advertising for theaters or home viewing. "See it in theaters, or HBOMax." The average person is going to think, "Oh, you mean I don't NEED to see it in a theater? Ok, I'll check out that movie at home." The new Bond movie ads end with "Only in theaters." Have a look at a news article for the movie "Memoria." It's only going to play in theaters… indefinitely. No home video release, no streaming…ever (so they say). That actually has me intrigued and if the only way I can see it is in a theater, then I'll actively try to see it in a theater.

It's basically like creating a friends list. So it would take out their allotment if they have spaces available.

I'd probably travel 18 miles to the nearest theater that has Dolby and IMAX and do a triple-feature if I had this membership. Not a bad idea either to split it up with food from a restaurant in between.

This sounds more idyllic like I'd hope to go at least one a month if not weekly and probably end up using the membership once or twice throughout the year honestly.

This is one thing I can never get clarification on about this membership plan. Does it allow you to do a triple feature on the same day or no? The other question is roaming. Are you allowed to use your membership outside of the city that you reside in when you're travelling?
