I called because the prompt popped up telling me to do so when I tried logging in and the lady on the phone told me that this is a "security measure" that they have in place. If you add Zelle to your account and your account is new, your online account access will be locked out for 48 hours and they can't override it, you'll have to ride out the 48 hours. They didn't even have any sort of FYI or prompt to at least make the user aware of this. Imagine if you needed to make adjustments to your account and it's urgent. Strike 1.
I then asked her to see if she could check on my account that the promo code was applied correctly and she just straight up transferred me to a local branch without any sort of advance notice and it's 7:30 in the morning so the branch ain't even opened. Strike 2.
This is some trash ass customer service and I'm moving my money back to Chase as soon as I get my bonus. Lol
