The air fryer itself is amazing, but the rotisserie isn't the best. It works, but really mostly for a Cornish Hen or something of the sort. Otherwise, I live for this air flyer and I recommend it all the time.

While I don't have the "Instant Vortex", I do own the Insignia 10qt from Best buy, (which I personally believe is the same fryer) and have used the rotisserie twice now. Both times using believe it or not tri-tip. I had to roll them up in a funky way to fit, but both times came out amazingly well. Used low heat around 230f for approx 1.25 hr until internal temp of 130 then cranked up to brown the outside a bit. Next remove and wrap tightly in foil to rest for at least a half hour. Slice thinly (against the grain-very important!) Will be doing all my tri tip this way I think. Although, the smoker or grill is good too, just more work and messier.

Also have the same question. Hopefully someone has used both for comparison.

It looks as if you have to use the basket on the rotisserie spit to do French fries. seems complicated to me? any comments? Thanks

I have a similar one from Walmart two years ago. I've done fries in the rotating basket. It works but crumbs fall out and need to be cleaned. Also the basket is very hot so you'll need good gloves to open it and get the contents out.

Thank you. I have decided to get one without the one with the rotating basket. After a lot of research and stewing, I ordered

Gourmia Digital French Door Air Fryer Toaster Oven for the Black Friday price of $49 from Walmart.
