If you understand what you're getting, this can be somewhat functional, for a good price. It is a desk, with keyboard tray, and monitor riser, in a compact form, at a very good price (depending on shipping). Look at the pictures in the reviews. You're going to need monitor stands, at a minimum. Finding the right combination of Midi and computer keyboard, and setting it up will be challenging. How you rack your interface and other studio pieces, and deal with cables, computers, power supplies, etc will be interesting, and possibly messy. It's not a real DAW workstation, or music production desk. But, like a lot of musician's gear, it can be made to work, specially as an inexpensive desk to get started. $50? Getting any computer desk with monitor riser, and underneath keyboard drawer, in a small form, for $50, is pretty slick. Free shipping makes this a steal. A decent music desk with riser, wide keyboard drawer, cable & computer management, with room for a good set of real reference monitors and mic brackets, will start at above $300. That might not be enough. The good ones, plan on investing $500-$2500, with rack space. But, this can get you started. You can always use it as a side desk.

Agreed. People definitely need to understand the dimensions of this. I recently picked one of these up as a cheapo sub 200$ production desk. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

First thing I wondered is if the desk was too low so knees can't go underneath. Check: a reviewer said the keyboard tray is too low.

I bought one with a plan to heighten it with 2 sanded/painted 2x4 pieces of wood (or thickness of my choice). Paint them black. Hacky, but at least i can adjust the height specifically to me. Still dirt cheap.

I'm mosty after the steel parts. Will put in $40 more in wood and customize the table how I want.

According to WHO particle board constantly gasses off and creates unhealthy Indoor Air Polution. I highly avoid particle board

There's a prop65 warning on this desk that it contains Pentaerythritol Dibromide, a brominated flame retardant. So in addition to the formaldehyde from the particle board (there's not even mention is low-emmiting compliant, so likely not), you're also getting another toxic chemical that is a potential carcinogen. "A brominated flame retardant which has previously shown to be a multisite carcinogen in experimental animals. " Hard pass.

I agree*

*I'm getting one because I'm replacing the particle board with pine, so I'm an exception.

Also, I didn't know Pentaeyhritol Dibromide part. Learn something every day. Thx.
