You actually don't even need the phone at all. Sounds weird, but as long as you enter an IMEI that passes their compatibility check and qualifies you for the promo, you can just order the SIM and then activate it online. No need to put the sim into a phone at all to activate it. Once it is activated online the service is started, and that is what counts for the 90 days of active service terms.

True story, for this promo I used the IMEI of an iPhone 12 that I got from visible and had already sold(!), but still had the IMEI written down somewhere, and used that to pass the compatibility check and order the SIM card. Once I got the shipping confirmation the next day, I activated my service online (select "I already rec'd my SIM card'), and ported in my expiring Tello number...all before receiving the physical SIM card, which looks like it will be delivered tomorrow.

I've done this BYOD promo several times over the years and never had a problem receiving the git card. They don't check if you are actually using the SIM or phone it was signed up with, just that you have the active line and are paying the bills. Of course, YMMV!
I looked at their site and do not see any option for talk/text only. I also see that you must have Xfinity internet, so many of us do not have any options with them. For those of you who do, sounds like a nice deal.
I used google voice number in the past for BYOD promo and always work. you need to unlock your google voice number from google unlock page [google.com] and pay $3. I recommended to change your voicemail PIN in the google voice setting. This is going to be used by mobile provider for porting. After you complete the unlocking of your GV number, go to xfinity website and place the BYOD order. You should be able to select google voice as your carrier and select "keep my number" to use your GV number. Xfinity will send you the sim card. The porting process start once you receive your sim card and start the activation process. It may take few days to complete the activation. As long as you provide the GV number account information correctly including the PIN (use GV number if you never setup PIN), the porting should be smooth and easy. At the end you need only to pay extra $2 per month for an additional line within the shared plan. .

You don't need to submit anything, just process your order and take screenshots of everything. It is system generated.
Oh that's good to know. When I was checking out, it mentioned something about getting an email with more info a week after I port-in so was assuming there was some rebate submission required.

I believe they use Verizon. Anybody use both? If I switched and this was worse my wife would be extremely annoyed. So much better deal though.
Annoyed wife vs $200 gc per line, I'd choose $200 gc and just sleep on the sofa 😊. Kidding aside you can try XM and if doesn't work out, port back to the lovely and expensive Verizon. Or maybe Visible Mobile if you want to really risk your marriage. 😊

Can someone bring 4 phones to share one 1GB plan, pay $15+tax for 3 months and get 800? Or each of the 4 lines need to have their own plan and pay $15 for each line?

Also when i go to place the order and select my google voice number it says ineligible. I have not unlocked my google voice number. Do i have to pay $3 to unlock before even placing the xfinity order? If i select some other random carrier and use my google voice number it doesnt complain. Is the ordering website checking that google voice number is unlocked or not and thats why it is complaining?

$15 for 1gb is shared by all lines -- each line will have taxes/fees (mine are just under $3/line)

GV is similar to landline and not all numbers can be ported to every carrier -- see if your number is compatible for VZ network port: https://www.verizon.com/switch-to-verizon/

When you add a line and finalize everything, there will be a summary of your transaction, the $200 banner should be there. I took a screenshot of my 4 lines with the $200 banner per line then checked out. 1 was a Google voice number, unlocked of course.

With regards to rewards, once you join it, it will tell you what rewards you qualify for. The longer you've been with Comcast /XM, the better your rewards will be.

Yes all 4 lines on 1gb shared bucket. $15 for 1gb plus taxes and fees per line which is about $2.5. Turn off Wifi.
Unlock GV so you can use it to port.

What's up Ho, I think any carrier would qualify. Best is Google Voice. It's on their drop-down menu.
