I work in volume validation post-silicon in a semiconductor company. Seasonic is our go-to on client and server-side
While checking out, I had the NewEgg browser app try a bunch of coupon codes.

SPECIAL4U seems to have taken an additional $10 off the price, so it was $85 with tax - prior to the $20 rebate.
Only semimodular, but for the price a great deal. Going to need those cables anyway. So not a huge issue imo.

Of course there will be complaints about the rebate....I have never had an issue getting one though. Just fill it out correctly.

Dont know why more people didnt jump on this. This was the best PSU deal so far this month.

BB had a daily deal for the 750 I think on sale for the same price. (No rebate). $100 w/tax.

This deal is the 850 for $100 w/CA tax. if I do the rebate it will be worth $80 w/tax. Super deal!

Thanks OP!

Picked one up for my nephew's PC. Upgrading from a 650 bronze powerspec.

Seasonic sucks, mine failed after a couple years of light use, right on the cusp of the warranty. I debated spending $20 to send it back and decided why bother if its just going to fail again. Tired of shitty pc parts...
They do make some very good products, but like many companies these days they dilute their brand by selling cheap low quality items too. This Focus line isn't terrible, but it's not great either.

Think of part failure as a lottery. Each year any given part has a slightly increasing chance of winning the failure lottery. Not taking a new warranty unit was a mistake. The odds of two units failing after two years is very low. It is tempting to assume that a brand is junk because you experienced one failure, but it's not logical.

I'll be one of those complainers. It's probably me, but I seem to always have an issue with newegg mail in rebates.

It's as reliable as death and taxes (for me at least)
