I know this is a hot item and the frustration runs high when everyone can't purchase one.

That frustration doesn't justify calling other members names or worse.

These Walmart drops are a joke now. Combine that with the fact they take 2-3 months to ship the console if you are lucky enough to get one.

Console economics...companies keep the product in supposedly short supply to create high demand. Pandemic used as an alibi. Take it as a grain of salt, but that creates high demand in the market for consumer purchase. You can take a chance at Walmart to see if you will receive this product in time before the new year.

Only games I care about are Rocket League, COD and GTA. Wake me up when those are really ready for next gen.

At least the console makers know they can sell their consoles for far more next cycle. No need to take a loss on hardware if millions are being upsold via scalpers.

honestly, I played a lot in beginning, but I havnt even used the damn thing in 3 months, got two in my house. just bought a switch and been playing Mario Party superstars more than I play the damn ps5 lol. this is more about winning, its exciting to get one of these, even if to turn and sell it for $1 profit. thrilling. im addicted to these type of buys.

It isn't Sony that is causing the shortage there is a world wide shortage of components needed to manufacture the systems. Everything from PCs, to Cars and hell even Furniture (foam is a byproduct) are either hard to find or cost so much more. my 2017 Honda I owe 7k on and the trade in value is 15k due to demand.

If you want to blame people blame the scalpers who continue to buy of supply to try and resell for inflated prices.

Lots of consoles being bought in bulk and shipped overseas to countries that don't have PS5/Xbox available yet. They buy wholesale from scalpers and still make bank after resell prices because overseas buyers pay big $$

They buy through Discord and is a big reason why you and little Timmy won't get one this Christmas

Pretty much, I loved Demon's Soul and had fun with Godfall, but Xbox series X and PC get the rest of my attention. Also, selling PS5 games for $69.99 was quite a turn off. I will say though, the adaptive triggers are great but not enough to buy PS5 versions. Xbox Series X allows Dolby Vision at 120mhz with ARR.
